About Us

The Germiston Municipal Pension Fund was established in 1924 for the Germiston Town Council employees. In 1994 the Fund converted to the defined contribution scheme as the Germiston Municipal Retirement Fund for employees of the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality.

The Fund is registered with the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) – Registration number 12/8/382. We have a long proud history of excellent benefits and solid investment growth. The Fund is fully funded and self administered.

The Fund serves members from all 9 cities within the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality and is open to all new members appointed by Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality. The Fund’s offices is based in Germiston.
